Christian Klein is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer from the Bay Area, specializing in documentary, branded, and hybrid films.
Christian’s work has gained recognition at notable film festivals, with the short film Place screening at Sundance 2020 and earning a Vimeo Staff Pick.
His documentary work, including Don’t Look Down, has been showcased at SFFILM and DOC NYC. His latest collaboration as co-director and cinematographer, A Kind Favor, premiered at Bend Film Festival and Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, CO. A Wild Kindness, a hybrid blend of documentary and narrative, received a Best Short Documentary nomination at Raindance Film Festival 2025.
Also in 2025, Christian filmed Behind the Scenes on the set of Olivia Wilde’s new film, The Invite.
Christian is currenlty in production on a Netflix true crime documentary series directed by Erin Lee Carr.
